We are sitting in our motorhome at a campsite on the Lipno lake, in the Czech Republic, southern Bohemia area. Its close to the borders of Germany, Austria and the Czech republic.
Miracles of modern technology, Camp has wi fi hi that works from reception to our van (even though the owner said it would not!) and only us at the site, as it is off season till Easter. Quite a good view out the front of the van and a railway line on the other side of the lake as well, have seen a couple of railcars to keep Gary interested.
Today we visited the UNESCO historical site of Cesky (or Ceske) Krumlov, a 16th century old town with castle and a couple of churches. Its very impressive to think that people have been living on that site for over 500 years. We hired a local guide and did a morning tour of the town, before the day trippers from Vienna or Prague arrived.
For the afternoon the guide suggested we visit a nearby town with an even older church. Its called Zlata Koruna. The tourist trap was sprung, you can only see the church if you pay to visit the monastry that is attached and the last two tours of the day were only in the Czech language.
Anyway both the monastry and the church were impressive, having been constructed and re-constructed since the 12th century. Having a czech language tour was not that good, even with English foot notes it was hard to follow where we were!

Weather is cool but bearable today, tomorrow is meant to be on the improve though, as its Spring here.
Thursday we are moving on to Vienna (Wien) Austria.
Note to Granny, we found your comment, it worked!
